About South Coast Xterminating
As a small pest control business on the Oregon Coast we are consistently challenged by weather, environmental issues and products. Over the past 21 years that Diane has been in business, our industry has made significant changes to the way we do our job. We are always seeking to not only meet, but exceed YOUR expectations.
The newer generation of products that are available allow us to be more environmentally concious than ever before with the same effectiveness our consumers demand. We even offer organic or green treatments when requested. Even with inclement weather, we can still serve the demands of our customers effectively.
1) During rainy weather cycles we can use granulars to control ants, earwigs and sowbugs, while we target spray in areas unaffected by most rainfall.
2) The rainy, cold winters combined with the many bodies of water in our counties make the Oregon Coast home to different species of rodents...the most prevalent problem for the homeowner would be rats. Our experts not only look for ridding your home of rodents, but determining the most effective methods for preventing the problem in the future.
3) The mild climate insures that we have ample flea problems on the Oregon Coast as well. In fact flea populations on the coast have exploded due to pesticide resistance in most areas. Pet products and home products all claiming to rid you of your flea problem, just don't seem to work anymore. We keep on top of the newest flea products available to eliminate flea infestations as they occur. Nobody is immune...even if you have no pets, you have rodents and wildlife contributing their fleas to your home base.
4) We are a full service pest control company. What this means to you is that we treat all different kinds of structures for all different kinds of pests. Motels, barns, homes, auto shops, storage units, rentals, mills, restaurants, libraries, day care, medical buildings, casinos, hospitals, schools, churches, recreational vehicles, vehicles, you name it.....yep, we do that! Bed bugs? Yep, we do that! Roaches? Yep, we do that! Termites? Yep, we do that! Rats & mice? Yep, we do that! Flies? Yep, we do that! Silverfish, springtails, ants, beetles, weevils, hornets, yellow jackets, carpenter ants, mites, moths.....YEP, we do that!
Regardless of your pest problem, Randy, Gregg and Tim are the pest professionals you want inspecting, detecting and correcting your pest difficulties. Large or small infestations, you can depend on us! Call Diane or Crystal in our office today and experience the difference a small, caring, local pest company can make for you!
HOW TO FIND A QUALITY PEST MANAGEMENT PROFESSIONAL
Discovering you have a pest problem in your home or business can be bothersome, let alone the added stress of finding a reputable pest control company to solve your problem. With a little homework and guidance, you can easily find a qualified professional to do the job.
Anytime you entrust a service provider to come to your home or business, you run the risk of potentially dealing with someone who may not have your best interest or well-being at heart. Anyone can put a magnetic sign on their truck and call themselves a service provider. In conjunction with the Oregon Pest Control Association we would like to offer these guidelines:
* Ask your neighbors, family and friends, they will be most honest with you about a company they have had experience with at their home or business. And...educate yourself...ask questions!
* Inquire as to how long the company has been in the Pest Management industry. Ask if the company is licensed and insured and make sure that all technicians are state certified.
* Does the company participate in continuing education? This shows their commitment to the industry by updating themselves with the latest knowledge available. Knowledge and cutting edge technology is key to effective pest management.
* Does the company representative appear professional and is the vehicle clean and well equipped? Is he/she able to answer your questions? If not, does he/she offer to find the answer for you?
* If you receive an extremely high or low estimate it is suggested to compare bids carefully and ask questions. Ask about the pests noted, method of treatment, products suggested, guarantees and what the guarantee covers.
* Avoid being rushed into choosing a service. There is no bug so bad in the State of Oregon that would necessitate immediate treatment. Even termite and carpenter ant damage will not be significantly worse while waiting a week or two before authorizing treatment.
* Is the company a member in good standing of the Oregon Pest Control Association and/or National Pest Management Association? To find out you can contact the OPCA at 1-800-656-6722 or visit the National Website at pestworld.org.
* Check with the Oregon Department of Justice/Consumer Division by calling their toll free number 1-877-877-9392. They can inform you about any complaints that have been filed about a company of interest.
* Contact the Oregon Department of Agriculture at 1-503-986-4635 to be sure the company is fully licensed, insured and free from violations.
